Tobias String Quartet Paid an Ex Prompt Visit to Pidula Manor – Rossini String Sonatas Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Applauded

The ex prompt concert, announced just 24 hours in advance, was given by the Estonian Tobias String Quartet, Tallinn, with Maano Männi (violin), Priit Pärna (double bass), Toomas Nestor (viola) and Aare Tammesalu (cello).

The light and sunny evening brought to the audience three of the six String Sonatas of Gioachino Rossini (1792 – 1868). Rossini, a prodigy much like Mozart, composed these pieces at the tender age of 12.

Civilized conversation was intercepted by boeuf bourguignon, composed by Pidula's accomplished chef Eero Talvitie, with organic beef from nearby Ranna-Villa, the largest farm raising Highland Cattle in Estonia, and of course house wine, both bubbly and still.
